Kidthing Enters Deal with FatCat Animation/CNW Entertainment

Los Angeles based Kidthing, Inc. signs multi-year agreement with studio to distribute animated content based on Roger Anthony's CrocPond characters and produced by Len Simon's FatCat Animation. Award-winning film Rindin the Puffer will be the first of a number of titles distributed by Kidthing. The Rindin the Puffer short film and digital read-a-long storybook are currently available. Future titles include Dex's gym, Babysitting Bolper and Rainy Day.

FatCat Animation Featured At 5K Run Event

Len Simon and animators from FatCat Animation were on hand to participate in the 2008 First Annual Outrun The FBI Benefit 5K Run. With Rindin the Puffer merchandise on sale and proceeds going to the event, animators greeted fans with drawings and give-a-ways from the CrocPond franchise.

Kristi Yamaguchi Tours FatCat Animation Studio

On October 11, Olympic Ice Skating Gold Medalist and Champion of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars Kristi Yamaguchi was in Tempe, Arizona to tour FatCat Animation Studio. Co-Founders Len Simon, James Stoyanof, franchise creator Roger Anthony, CNW Entertainment CEO Nicholas Zaldastani and their creative team gave Kristi a VIP tour of the studio and special screenings of behind-the-scenes productions in the CrocPond franchise.

As announced earlier, CrocPond was a local sponsor of the Kristi Yamaguchi’s annual Friends and Family Ice Show being broadcast on NBC Saturday, November 8, promoting the award-winning Rindin the Puffer animated short and the CrocPond brand.

Film Festivals

It's Film Festival season and FatCat Animation will be making its rounds once again in 2009. With Rindin the Puffer and The Coyote and the Tortoise being screened worldwide, Animation Director Len Simon will be on-hand participating in panels, Q&As, discussions, signings and meeting fans. The Film Festival schedule is being confirmed and will be posted shortly.
